1. Media texts are profit motivated. Consider this in the light of TV news. What issues does this raise?

As there is a huge influence of mass media on the public’s view so there has been plenty theories upon this issue; such as a ‘Conspiracy theory’ in Media Studies that has concerns with a small group of multimedia leaders that have an objective to reach with the entire media contents. Their objective is to take over with every other media company available in the market, so that in the group they construct would give them more power to control what the consumers are provided with. This implies with the politically & socially content available in the form of media to alter the thoughts of the consumers of the media content. The reason for the concern of this issue because the conspiracy theory is being seen by observers in all the mass media; such as the news corporations a being biased with their data provided on certain topics also there are sections of news not being told to the public.

2. Which media companies do you think could be accused of having too much power and control in our society?

Throughout the world there no rules governing the contents of the media provided to the country of origin; in most countries the government owns or controls the media content. The reason why the government owns or controls the media contents is primarily for propaganda and informational purposes. The issue that occurs in most countries the media is largely in the control of a small of multinational companies. I think that no media company should be accused of having too much power and control in our society because that was their objective as a company. The reason for not accusing the media companies with too much power and control in our society because if you know the media companies are trying to get across to the customer you can avoid their messages.
